With a month prior to its opening, Mercedes-Benz stadium officials have revealed to the media more of their food options. The stadium is the new home of Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons. It will feature food items like hand-breaded free range fried chicken sandwich for $11. The item helps to finance the Westside residents’ culinary training. The other proceeds of the fund from the Westside Work service will finance the culinary program there. It is a pledge from Arthur Blank, the Falcons Owner, with the aim to enhance the stadium neighborhood.
Over 76 Westside residents have received culinary arts training to date, with 69 graduates from them acquiring living-wage jobs. After a year the stadium officials state that, 60 of them kept their jobs, earning them over $800,000 wages. Previously, the stadium had announced both a bevy of top Atlanta chef associates; Kevin Gillespie included and “fan-first” pricing (implying lost-cost items like $2 hot dog).
The first pre-season game is scheduled for Aug. 26, during the stadium opening. Their Food Pricing will be among NFL’s cheapest. Mercedes-Benz stadium priced at $1.6 billion will have some of the cheapest hotdogs and beer in the National Football League.
The officials of the stadium announced the menu and pricing options on Monday preceding its opening. They include $2 non-alcoholic beverage products, $5 for 12 oz. domestic beer, hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, $2 Dasani bottled water, nachos, pizza, waffle fries and $3 peanuts. Rich McKay, the Atlanta Falcons CEO and president at a Monday press conference stated that, “These prices are about 50 percent of what YOU will get at the Georgia Dome.”
The pricing and menu model permits a family of four to do ordinary game-day purchases as far as $28. All are in the effect of both Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons games, and major events held here, inclusive of Mercedes-Benz events like the SEC Championship Game, College Football National Championship (2018), NCAA Men’s Final Four (2020) and Chick-fill-A Peach Bowl. The product’s pricing will be same for all the conventions, concerts and special events booked at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Arthur M. Blank the Falcons and Atlanta United owner stated that, “It’s considerably cheaper than the Georgia Dome.” He continued to state that, “It’s a way we can say thank you to our fans.” Additionally, all the pricing gets rounded to the nearest dollar bill, making it unnecessary to walk around with change.”
The stadium has promised first-class items including draft beers, higher-end food options and mixed drinks available from the regional and national partners throughout the stadium at equal prices of the local restaurants.
Later, Mackay said, “We have about five to six local (food and beverage) partners signed up and will add four or five more.”
Well, it seems Mercedes-Benz Stadium is the best thing for the Westside residents. The stadium will host two of NFL giant teams, meaning, they will get treated to thrilling games and the fantastic menu offered in this facility will thrill them most.
